Here is part of my story...
Currently I’m co-owner of Epic Sofia, a design studio based in Sofia. During the last 6 years of this journey I’ve worked with different designers and developers, managed projects for Bulgarian and European clients and improved my design skills.

I was lucky to grow up in the epic 90’s: at the dawn of the era of the internet clubs, the Dial-up internet, the ICQ messenger and, of course, the amazing Windows ’98. The amount of lagging, bugging and confusing interface our generation was exposed to, helped me develop my inner sense of what is wrong and what is good about products and better understand why user experience is so important.

My career started as a TV journalist, because I was curious in different life stories. That is how I began learning to listen to and understand people’s challenges, needs and experiences. Then I became a public relations specialist in an advertising agency. My focus was making brand messages simple, meaningful and engaging. This added another layer in people experiences knowledge.

In my free time I was experimenting with Photoshop and Premiere Pro. Working with vectors and fonts came later, during my work as social media content creator. I was exploring the impact of still images and short videos on people’s emotions and how they reacted to them. It helped me get more complex ideas on how different visual messages impact different audiences.
